David J. Teter is a visual artist who paints and draws a wide variety of subjects. He focuses on several genres: Industrial Subjects, Landscapes and Transportation. These subjects are a vehicle for illustrating his ideas, impressions or making a statement. While Teter may paint a cityscape, there is hidden meaning in the image that captivates him. Industrial subjects represent the remnants of the industrial revolution and our changing world. In his landscapes, he searches for a unique perspective or viewpoint atypical in this type of artwork. Teter's preferred mediums are oils, watercolors and pencil or graphite. While studying and graduating from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, he learned the value of developing strong concepts for each body of work; he typically create a series of artworks in lieu of individual pieces.
